Art for animals
The BIG FIX Uganda's Art for Animals project utilizes art as a medium to empower children to advocate for animals and animal rights.
Our program includes a lesson about a topic such as the Five Animal Freedoms and students are then encouraged to educate others about what they have learned through their artwork.
We use all forms of art to advocate for animals including drawing, painting, poetry, singing, dancing, drama, and story-telling.
During 2017, our program is engaging students at our 19 Animal Kindness Clubs to design and paint a mural at each of their schools. The aim of each design will be to persuade others to treat all living beings with compassion.
Our clubs are also creating their own original productions in song, poetry, dance, or drama, and will compete with their entries at the World Animal Day in Uganda 2017 celebration to be held on 4 October in Gulu.
