We are always grateful for people who are happy to shout about our cause as we are not a large charity, so our champions mean a lot to us! We heard from Jörgen who is forty years old and lives in Stockholm, Sweden. He shares an apartment with a friend and his dog Jamie. Jamie is a rescue dog from Ireland who was adopted by Jorgen 5 years ago. Jorgen has always loved animals, but Jamie is Jörgen's first dog.
Jorgen is presently undertaking a major life change and following his dream of living in the country, because of his love of animals.
When we asked Jörgen what it was that drew him to The Big Fix Uganda he said that he has always wanted to make the world a better place. Large charities never seemed to really allow him to understand what happens with donations and didn't really let him know how exactly he could help.
"I was very excited when I first found The Big Fix Uganda. This is an organization that helps both humans and dogs in a very intelligent way. It was easy to see that they are making an impact and where the money is going. I started to make donations and have been in touch with them and I am becoming more sure that The Big Fix Uganda is an organization that deserves all the support I can give.
The charity's work with trauma also spoke to me as I have had periods of depression all my adult life and I have a friend that tried to take his life twice so this mission really means something to me."
We are very excited to announce that Jorgen will be serving as BIG FIX Uganda’s Ambassador in Sweden. If you are excited as Jörgen about what we do and want to help spread the word about us, please get in touch!
